This is a Hand Signed piece of white paper 5" x 3.5" by the late British Formula 1 Racing Driver. He was born on the 10th April 1929 and was killed in a car accident on the A3 Bypass near Guildford on the 22nd January 1959. In 1955 Hawthorn was the winner of the 24 hours Le Mans race despite being involved in the terrible crash that killed 84 spectators as well as fellow racer Pierre Levegh. He was the winner of the 1958 Formula 1 Championship making this an extremely rare and collectable autograph. John Michael Hawthorn (10 April 1929 - 22 January 1959) was a racing driver, born in Mexborough, Yorkshire, England, and educated at Ardingly College, West Sussex.
