Wayne Michael Bridge (born 5 August 1980) is an English footballer who currently plays as a left back for Manchester City. A graduate of the Southampton Academy where he made his debut in 1998, he has also had spells with Chelsea and Fulham during his Premiership career. Although not a regular first choice player internationally, Bridge was occasionally called upon to play for the England national team, including representing England in the World Cup. He brought his international career to a close on 25 February 2010, following an alleged affair between his ex-girlfriend and the (then) England captain, John Terry.
