John Francis O'Shea (born 30 April 1981) is an Irish professional footballer, who currently plays for Manchester United and the Republic of Ireland national team. Born in Waterford, O'Shea moved to Manchester when he was 17 and is considered by many as one of the most versatile players in the Premier League. He has played in every position for Manchester United, including a brief spell as an emergency goalkeeper in a match against Tottenham.
