This is a Collector's Edition of the frank and humorous book by the legendary late Sunderland F.C. and England footballer. It has a Hand Signed bookplate on the inside page. I got to know the great man in the last few years of his life and visited him at his homes in Grange-over-Sands and Tenerife. He was taken ill before he could personally sign all the books so his son took the book-plates into hospital where he signed a few at a time when he felt able. Sadly he died before he could enjoy publicising the book. Leonard Francis Shackleton, (3 May 1922 in Bradford – 27 November 2000) was an English footballer of the post-World War II period. Known as the Clown Prince of Football, he is generally regarded as one of English football's finest ever entertainers.
