This is a Hand Signed Colour Photo 10" x 8" of the late Legendary Lester on horseback. These were signed privately for us and all the proceeds of the signing went to the Injured Jockeys Fund. As we had a number of these signed you may not necessarily get the one pictured but one very similar.
Lester Keith Piggott (5 November 1935 – 29 May 2022) was an English professional jockey. With 4,493 career wins, including nine Epsom Derby victories, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest flat racing jockeys of all time and the originator of a much imitated style. Popularly called "The Long Fellow", he was known for his competitive personality, keeping himself 30 lb (14 kg) under his natural weight, and on occasion overusing the whip such as on Roberto in the 1972 Derby. Of his great winners, Piggott regarded Sir Ivor as the easiest to ride. Piggot was convicted of tax fraud in 1987 and sentenced to three years in prison.
