Marlon Charles Broomes (born 28 November 1977 in Birmingham) is an English professional footballer. His natural position is at centre-back or as a sweeper (leading to his nickname of "Broomes, the sweeper"), although he can also play at left-back as well. He is currently without a club. He has previously played in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers, having also played for Swindon Town, Queens Park Rangers, Grimsby Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston North End, Stoke City, Blackpool and Crewe Alexandra.
