This is a Hand Signed White Paper 6" x 4" by the English former Athlete who competed in the 20 km and 50 km walking events and who won Silver in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Vincent Paul Nihill (born 5 September 1939) is a British athlete, who competed in the 20 and 50 kilometre walks. He was born in Colchester. Nihill competed for Great Britain in the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan in the 50 kilometre walk where he won the silver medal. He competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics, suffering in the high altitude conditions, and collapsing with just over 5 km remaining. This was his only defeat in 86 races, between 1967 and 1970. At the European Championships in Athens in 1969, he won a gold medal in the 20 km walk, followed by a bronze in the same event at the European Championships in Helsinki in 1971. He finished 6th and 9th respectively in the 20 km and 50 km walks at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He also competed in the 20 km walk in the 1976 Summer Olympics, before retiring the following year.
